In early 2012, DBS were able to provide a solution to meet the exacting requirements of the Armed Forces Tri-Medical supplies team. With the initial systems being calibrated to -20°C, our product range has been continually developed and we are pleased to be able to offer what we believe to be an industry first – a ruggedised portable refrigeration system providing stable temperature retention for Plasma at -30°C.
Key Benefits of the specific military versions include:
- BATTERY BACK UP FACILITY
The unit has an intergral IATA approved back-up battery and charger that can provide 4 hours or 8 hours of power at 40°C when 12/24V DC or 230 AC is not available. This enables the unit to be utilised in military air operations for rapid deployment.
- OPTIONAL SOLAR POWERED TRICKLE CHARGING
Designed to provide additional power fro the battery back-up system to further extend the operational time in hot and sunny conditions.
- INTEGRAL DATA LOGGER
An integral PDF data logger has been incorporated to provide an accurate record of the internal temperature, downloadable to a computer with a USB connection without the need for specialist software. The unit can also be programmed to produce high/low temperature alarms and 21CFR part11 compliant reports.
